Back by popular demand is Prana Yoga Center’s 21 Day Challenge for a Cause!!! In an effort to be good stewards of our animal friends and inspire renewed vigor in your yoga practice we are offering the 21 Day Challenge for a Cause to benefit Andersen Animal Shelter.21 Day Yoga Challenge For A Cause to Benefit Anderson Animal Shelter-2

Not sure if you want to commit? Here are the top five reasons you should join our challenge.

  1. Fun.
    It’s the dead of winter in the Midwest and who can’t use a little extra fun in their life?? Increasing the number of days you practice yoga is sure to put a little extra spring in your step. Try new classes, new teachers, new styles.
  2. Deepen your Practice.
    Take one of our February workshops. Workshops allow you to experience your practice in a deeper and more specific way. The workshop will count as your challenge practice for that day. Consider registering for one (or all) of the following:

    • Restorative Yoga and Acupuncture-Feb. 2
    • The Art of Meditation-Feb. 3
    • Valentine’s Day Partner Yoga-Feb. 9

    Every day that you practice at Prana you will fill out a raffle ticket to be put in the drawing for that day’s prize. There will be daily and weekly drawings as well as an overall winner at the end of the challenge. The prizes range from massages, restaurant gift certificates, yoga gear, play tickets, and more.
  4. Warm Up with Infrared Heat
    Beat the winter chill with a class in our state of the art infrared heated yoga studio. Infrared heat is a section or “band” of invisible light present on the electromagnetic spectrum. Discovered in the early Nineteenth century by Sir William Herschel who found that the temperatures on the color spectrum went up as they moved towards red. The temperature just beyond red was the highest. Traditional heat therapy can be uncomfortable, inefficient, ineffective, hazardous, and unhygienic. Infrared heat provides the therapeutic effects of heat therapy without the drawbacks.  Notable benefits: Increased flexibility and circulation, pain relief, detoxification, clearer skin, and more calories burned.

    During this month of love and romance, show your love for our animal friends in need. Anderson Animal Shelter has been saving lives and serving the Fox Valley region for more than 50 years. Anderson receives no federal or state funding so relies on and appreciates the generosity of its friends.
