the breathing class - pranayama

Breathing & Meditation Class

Breathwork is scientifically proven to be a powerful tool to improve mental and physical health and can reduce stress and anxiety, improve concentration, enhance deep restorative sleep, and more.

Learning to cultivate a healthy breath takes practice. This Breathing Class combines gentle yoga to relax the body and connect to the breath and ends with seated meditation.

This all-level class will teach you how to breathe and reach the inner state of calm through the skillful use of the breath.

Fundamentals of Yoga

Fundamentals of yoga is for those new to the practice or those who want to develop a stronger foundation. You will learn the essential postures, proper alignment for strength, stability and flexibility and breathing techniques to improve your overall well-being. All levels welcome, no experience necessary.


Gentle & Face Yoga

Gentle & Face Yoga

Gentle & Face Yoga is a practice for students of all levels that offers traditional yoga poses practiced at a slow and relaxed pace. Face yoga uses massage and exercises that stimulate the skin, muscles, and lymphatic system designed to soften and relax your face muscles to help alleviate tension and stress.


Hatha Yoga

A classical style of yoga that offers a balanced practice, at a steady pace which allows you to build strength,stability & flexibility and to release tension and quiet the mind. Props (blocks, straps) are used to deepen the experience for the student and allow for more depth and fullness of your breath in postures. Breathing techniques and meditation are also practiced in this class. Some yoga experience recommended.

Hatha Yoga with Wall Ropes

This class uses gravity as a natural form of resistance, assisting the body to open further than in a regular yoga practice. Sequences built of fundamental hatha poses incorporate the rope wall to achieve improved alignment, release tension from joints and help decompress the spine. All levels are welcome. Class is limited to 10 students.

Restorative Yoga 

This class will release tension in the body and gently stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system through supported poses designed to release physical & mental stress.  This class uses a variety of props (blankets,bolsters) to relearn the art of relaxation. Relaxation through restorative yoga enhances your healing capacity and regulates the stress response to re-balance the central nervous system. No experience, all levels recommended.

Vishoka Meditation

A practice designed to unite the body, mind and breath, and bring you to a state of inner awareness. It is simple, systematic, experiential and accessible for all levels. Gentle movement and breath practices are used to prepare the body, balance the nervous system, quiet the mind to then guide you to experience the Vishoka~a state of inner joy. Vishoka Vishoka is more than technique—it is a living practice supported by a rich body of wisdom from ancient source texts including the Yoga Sutra, Lotus Sutra, and Shiva Sutra and refined over countless generations of practitioners and masters.

Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa is an energetic style characterized by breath synchronization movement from posture to posture.  This class will build cardio, strength & flexibility of the entire body and overall conditioning of the musculo-skeletal system. Breath synchronized movement relaxes the mind, releases stress to create a focused mind state.  A variety of sun salutations, standing, seated poses, backbending &  inversion postures are practiced and no two classes are ever alike. Some experience is recommended.

Yin Yoga & Meditation

A relaxing, quiet, contemplative practice that works deeply with passive, longer-held seated, supine, and prone poses. On a physical level, Yin yoga targets the connective tissues – fascia, ligaments, and joints, to create more flexibility, improve joint mobility, and increase energy flow. On a subtle level, the stillness of the poses and inward focus developed through breathing techniques relax the nervous system and quiet the mind, moving you to a meditative state of calm. Yin is appropriate for students of all levels.


Pilates-Inspired Yoga Tone and Core

Yoga Tone & CORE

Yoga Tone & Core is a hybrid class that blends yoga, strength training with light weights, and pilates-inspired core work for one amazing practice!. You will increase muscle strength & tone, improve flexibility and core stability. Yoga Tone & Core will leave you feeling strong, balanced, and energized.


FREE Community Yoga Class

Experience a complimentary, all-levels Hatha Yoga class in our infrared heated studio. Class is heated to 85 degrees and purified with Surgically Clean Air. Taught by our highly skilled and experienced instructors who have been sharing the power and potential of yoga for 20+ years. As a student, you will enjoy a well-planned class and gentle encouragement in a safe, comfortable, and challenging environment.

Preteen Yoga 7-12

A calming and empowering, developmental class designed specifically for preteens ages 7-12. A fun and non-competitive class, where preteens can express themselves freely without peer pressure and learn valuable mindfulness tools such as yoga postures, breath techniques, guided imagery, games to develop confidence and a strong sense of self. This class is a series class; registration required; no drop-ins for this class.

CRYSTAL BOWL SOUND HEALING

Immerse yourself in the healing sounds of three Paiste gongs tuned to the planets Uranus, Jupiter, and the Moon. Uranus to balance emotions and hormones. Jupiter to open and nourish the heart center. And the Moon to awaken intuition and connection to divinity. You will also be bathed in the tones of the Chinese Temple Wind Gong which helps activate spiritual wisdom and promotes grounding.

Based on ancient wisdom, the gong vibrates at the same frequency as the body allowing the body to heal itself. The gong balances the central nervous system and aids in deep meditation. Tibetian and Singing Crystal Bowls will be added to raise the vibration.

A gong bath is a dynamic meditative experience that acoustically guides each participant via sound into deep realms of emotional balance, cellular healing, and spiritual well-being using a multitude of octaves to activate alpha/theta/delta brain wave-scapes for peace, creativity, and relaxation.

The Gong Bath Sound Meditation is a journey that begins with setting powerful intentions, led by Harmony Pavett, whose graceful energy and empowered nature allow each person to align with their highest intentions. As she masterfully plays the gong, bowls, chimes, and harmonium, she will share an angelic voice for nurturance, healing, peaceful, and powerful journeys of self-love and empowerment.


Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation practice known as “yogic sleep” or “effortless relaxation.” Nidra draws your attention inwards as you surf the states of wakefulness and sleep, where our body finds its natural state of equilibrium (homeostasis). The breath balances and becomes quiet. Unconscious and conscious aspects of the mind reveal themselves, and we fall into an innate state of deep, blissful awareness. Nidra can engender profound joy and well-being and restore the body, senses, and mind to their natural, optimum function and balance.
