Education and Teaching Certifications
After retiring from a career as an elementary school librarian, Judy completed the 250-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Prana.

Judy was introduced to yoga in her
childhood when she began practicing with her mom to Lilias, Yoga and You, a
series on public television in the 1970’s.

Ever since she has been expanding her understanding of yoga and has been a regular member of Prana Yoga Studio for 15 (give or take) years.

Style of Yoga & What Can Students Expect from your Class
Judy will approach teaching yoga much like she did, introducing children to the
world of stories with joy and a sense of wonder. Yoga is an invitation to explore
yourself and the world around you. One of her favorite Aesop fables is the
Tortoise and the Hare. Expect steadiness and ease.

What Inspires You to Practice and Teach Yoga?
B.K.S. Iyengar says in "Light on Yoga,” “The signs of progress on the path of
Yoga are health, a sense of physical lightness, steadiness, clearness of
countenance and a beautiful voice…a balanced, serene and tranquil mind.”Aside from the beautiful voice part, Judy finds the rest to ring true. That continues bringing her to the mat and stokes her desire to share it with others.

What Do You Like To Do Outside of Yoga?
Judy loves to read, walk, travel, cook with local healthy ingredients, and spend time with family and friends.
