Style of Yoga & What Can Students Expect from your Class
Hatha, Vinyasa, Restorative - every class, whether hatha, vinyasa, or restorative, will represent a complete practice working with pranayama and asana, and occasionally meditation. Coming from Astanga and adding techniques from Hatha and Tantra, each class will skillfully and safely navigate you through a moving meditation of breath and body.
What Inspires You to Practice and Teach Yoga?
My inspiration: The connection to the Source it provides and strengthens. Why I teach: Seeing the expression on the student's face when they have reached a new place of inner stillness and quiet or discovered a new dimension of a pose through the breath, yoga is such a deep healing tool with vast potential, teaching allows me to share my passion and get others excited about it. I love introducing poses in a fun, safe, accessible fashion. And it's not just that - it's teaching students that they are whole themselves and are already equipped with all the tools they need to reach Samadhi with ardent abhyaasa.
What Do You Like To Do Outside of Yoga?
I LOVE learning and am a total yoga geek! Languages are a huge passion of mine, and I have begun earnestly studying Sanskrit with renowned scholar Nicolai Bachman. Every chance to be outside, I will take. I love ditching my phone and being completely submerged in nature and life. I'm also a lover of all forms of dance and am currently learning the beautiful art of Odissi dance, further supporting my yoga sadhana. My husband, Charn, is also a yoga teacher, and we live with our two fur babies, Oro and Ginger.
