Style of Yoga & What Can Students Expect from Your Class

Hatha and Fundamentals

I enjoy using props when teaching. The props help us hold positions longer, focus on subtle movements, and create the mind, body connection while building muscle memory. Using props is also a fun way to explore pose variations to find one that feels good and fits for your practice.

What Inspires You to Practice and Teach Yoga?

The amazing connection between mind and body. I found yoga during a particularly stressful time in my corporate career. My early practice helped me identify stress triggers and leverage asana (poses), pranayama (breathwork) and meditation to better manage that stress. Over my 20+ year yoga practice I have enjoyed learning and exploring all that the yoga tradition has to offer. I credit my yoga practice for helping me sustain and build a successful corporate career.

What Do You Like to Do Outside of Yoga?

I enjoys traveling, reading, gardening in the summer and recently taught myself how to knit for the cold winter months.
